Swing Group
Swing Group was established in October 2004 and after enjoying their first two concerts in February 2005, the ensemble is going from strength to strength.

Rehearsals
Swing Group rehearses every Wednesday from 19:00 to 21:00 in the Jack Hylton Room. Swing Group contains saxophones, clarinets and a rhythm section. They consist of approximately 25 members and play a variety of swing music.
Auditions
Swing Group is a non-auditioning ensemble which provides extended playing opportunities for musicians who enjoy this type of music, as there are limited places in the auditioned Big Band. If there is more than one pianist, bassist, or drummer who wishes to play the position is usually shared. A singer is usually auditioned in the first few weeks of the Michaelmas term.
